The Story of the Tin Pig

Welcome to Tinpig Music,
the idea of this blog is to allow the reader an insight into my creative process with a view to inspiring and sharing ideas that will hopefully spark new creativity and conversation in others. This will not be a "you must do it this way" blog but more about my inspirations and ways in which I create both successfully and not so successfully.
So here's a little bit about the name of the site Tinpig Music.
The image below (filtered for effect) is the actual Celtic Boar that my wife gave to me for my travels when I was constantly on tour. It was and still is a kind of safe travels charm.
The reason for the name Tinpig? Well firstly it's a Boar, which is at it's most basic a pig and it is made from Pewter which is a type of tin, thus the name Tinpig came into existence.
The Boar has many meanings throughout the cultures of the world and for me the Celtic meaning has the closest ties as my heritage is Celtic and Scandinavian. If you want a concise explanation about the Boar check out this site great site and browse the Cultural Significance of the Boar.
Next with regard to Tinpig Music, all of the images on the site have been taken by me on my travels throughout the globe. As well as musical creativity I'll most likely post unusual travel pictures and general musings on exploring and keeping an open mind.
